- Restrict drinking caffeinated beverages when using inositol as caffeine can reduce effectiveness.
- Take 4g grams per day, which is a slightly heaped teaspoon, at breakfast time or 2g in the morning with food and 2g in the evening with food.

- Side effects are very rare and minimal making it a very safe supplement for most people.
- They may include nausea, tiredness, headache & dizziness.
- If in doubt start with small doses such as 1 or 2g per day and build up to recommended.

- Pregnant women may take inositol orally to reduce the risk of gestational diabetes & neural tube birth defects.
